At just 14 years old, I already knew that I was meant to be a fashion designer. Visualizing my life path, I decided that nothing will stop me in the way of pursuing my dream. I took art courses to build my portfolio and made it into a design-focused high school, where I first started studying fashion design. I then continued to extend my knowledge by taking further classes in art and professional makeup. It was clear that my next step would be studying at Shenkar, one of the best design and fashion colleges in Israel. I graduated from Shenkar with a Masters degree in Fashion Design and worked with both Israeli fashion designers and international design companies, before I finally started my own company and my very own jewelry brand.
For me, being a designer is a way of living. Is the uncompromising urge to design everything around me: clothes, jewelry, accessories, a range of products and internal and external spaces. Moving around and travelling through Asia has opened my mind to the inspiring cultures around me and to the endless possibilities of design and ways of manufacturing. It is always exciting for me to visit factories and hand-crafting workshops. I enjoy being surrounded by different materials, learning new techniques as well as teaching my own techniques and helping to come up with solutions for design challenges.
and started experimenting with styles and materials. I like to let the materials guide me as I go - I play with the materials directly to find the right color combination, the right proportion, or the right texture and color. For me, looking for new materials in a market feels like entering a candy shop or arriving in Wonderland, where everything is possible and inspiration surrounds me. It is like seeing a fairytale come to life.
Once I start to work on a new piece of jewelry, it is difficult to stop. I want to make one more, try one more new curve, use different stone or pearl combinations. It is a very joyful and meditative process.
